About This Exhibition
Magazine Beach Park stretches along the Charles River in Cambridgeport, offering one of Cambridge's best waterfront recreation areas. The park was extensively renovated and features a popular splash pad for children, playing fields, a boathouse for community rowing, and beautiful grassy areas for picnics. The name comes from a gunpowder magazine that once stood here. On summer Sundays, when Memorial Drive closes to cars, the park becomes a car-free paradise.
