Pizza · Harvard Square
Late night pizza institution. Sicilian-style squares with thick, crispy edges. Open until 2am. This is where you end up after the bars close. The upstairs seating is prime people-watching. Cash only for slices. A Harvard Square rite of passage.
Pizza · Harvard Square
The first New England outpost of the iconic NYC-slice shop from Greenwich Village. Thin-crust cheese and pepperoni by the slice; consistently has a line stretching down Brattle Street.
Area Four in Kendall Square consistently tops Cambridge pizza rankings, featuring a custom wood-burning oven that reaches 800 degrees and produces pizzas with perfectly charred, blistered crusts. Their signature pies rotate seasonally—the mushroom and truffle pizza in fall and the fresh corn pizza in summer are local favorites. The restaurant also serves excellent salads, pastas, and their famous sticky bun for dessert. Area Four gets crowded during peak lunch (12-1pm) and dinner (6-8pm) hours, so consider visiting at 5pm or after 8:30pm for easier seating. They don't take reservations for parties under 6, so walk-in early or late.
