Harvard Square is the brand's Cambridge outpost — opened October 2023 at 15 JFK St inside the Abbot building. Union Square Donuts itself was founded February 2013 by brothers Josh and Noah Danoff with pastry chef Heather Schmidt out of a small Union Square (Somerville) shared space; the brown-butter hazelnut and maple-bacon donuts are the calling-card flavors.

Popular Somerville donut shop expanded to Harvard Square. Artisan donuts with creative flavors like Brown Butter Hazelnut, Maple Bacon, and seasonal specials. Fresh coffee and espresso drinks.
