Founded 1958 as Club 47 at 47 Mount Auburn St; moved to Palmer Street in 1963 and became Passim in 1969. Joan Baez played weekly as a BU student; Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, Pete Seeger, Tom Waits, and Tracy Chapman all passed through. Incorporated as a nonprofit after a 1995 Rounder Records loan.

Nonprofit folk music venue and cafe tucked off Palmer Street. Nightly live music in an intimate 125-seat room. Cafe menu of soups, sandwiches, and small plates. Tickets and reservations via the venue website.
